Mini Activity: James and the Giant Peach- Book Cover Collage Layout

 







As I have been struggling to find the right layout and composition for my book cover design, I have cut out my previous work and created collages. These collages have been useful because I can move the furniture and characters around. My last book cover design was too structured for a scene that is meant to show chaos, so moving these elements around has enabled me to visually communicate the scene much better.

I have gathered together these images because they show a variation between line thickness, colour and style. After finding these examples, I'm going to produce my own type examples and make a sheet out of them.
